Kersin & Steve’s wedding was in August just weeks before Hurricane Dorian hit Abaco. I didn’t know it at the time but this would be the last wedding I would photograph in Abaco for a while. It was just the two of them on their 28-foot sailboat, adventurous wind billowing in their sails. After days on the open water, they made it safely to the islands. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. Their honeymoon had turned into a year trip through the Bahamas. They finally found their way to a little settlement named Hope Town.
