My family's love for the Abacos is not a new love story. It began in the late 1950's when my grandparents and newlyweds, "Papa & Grammie," sailed from New York to Florida to embark on their big adventure to explore the Bahamas. It was just the two of them on their 28-foot sailboat, adventurous wind billowing in their sails. After days on the open water, they made it safely to the islands. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. Their honeymoon had turned into a year trip through the Bahamas. They finally found their way to a little settlement named Hope Town.
